Eugene Hendrix

Eugene Hendrix, 85, of Grain Valley, MO passed away on February 8, 2008 at St. Mary’s Manor. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the chapel with the burial to follow at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Eugene was born on September 27, 1922 in Washburn, MO. He moved to Kansas City, KS in 1940, where he lived for 50 years before moving to Grain Valley, MO in 1997. He worked for Dick’s Transfer Co. and Fleming Foods, which is where he retired from in 1987. He was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS. Eugene was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary Hendrix; son Dale Hendrix; daughter, Rebecca Tooley; sister, Nadine Paul; and two brothers, Clifford and Curtis Hendrix. He is survived by his son, Rick Hendrix of Los Angeles, CA; daughters, Vicky Miller and Kathy Hendrix of Oak Grove, MO and Barbara Watts of Lone Jack, MO; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
