William Ross Hendrix, 89, of Independence MO, passed away Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Johnson County Nursing Center in Olathe, Ks. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2007 at the Mount Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, MO. William was born October 17, 1917 in Moline, MO to William Mitchell and Martha (Cauthorn) Hendrix. He had retired as manager of the Chard Service Station in 1987. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army Infantry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and baseball, of which he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He is survived by his wife Frankie Fern Hendrix of the home; a daughter, Monica Schaal and her husband Paul of Olathe, KS and a nephew Randy Hendrix of Fulton, MO.
