Henry A. Zanetello, “Hank”, 98, of Kansas City, Missouri, went home to heaven on Thursday, November 19, 2025. He passed peacefully at Olathe Hospice House surrounded by family.

Hank was born September 9, 1927, in Wood River, Illinois, to Richard and Eunice (Kennedy) Zanetello. He married Eunice (Cline) Zanetello, with whom he had three children, Mona, William, and Teresa. He married Betty (Seehausen) Zanetello on April 5, 1976, and they enjoyed a wonderful life together.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Eunice Zanetello; brother, Pete Zanetello; sister, Catherine Grabbe; son, William Zanetello; and numerous family and friends. What a reunion they are having in Heaven!

He served in the Air Force and Army in Germany and Korea. He retired from Yellow Freight, where he spent his career as a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife Betty Zanetello of the home; brother Richard Zanetello of Springfield, Il; daughters Mona Hall (Jim) of Overland Park, KS; Teresa Gorenflo of Kansas City, KS; Cheryl Fernandez (Marty) of Escondido, CA; Tracy Strickland of St. Louis, MO; son Ronnie Seehausen of Lakeside, CA; ten grandchildren Shelly Whidby, Dana Raymond (Justin), Vincent Gorenflo, Aaron Hall, Brittni Strickland (Andrew Stuart), Calahan Kinworthy (Cameron), Gunnar Strickland, and Marti Goyal (Neal); and great-grandchildren Emma, James, Wyatt, Carson, Ellie, Beckett, Ethan, Gavin, Mason, Theodore, Clementine, Kip, Margaret and Cooper.

In his younger days, Hank was active with the American Legion. He enjoyed all activities, including basketball, baseball, dancing, horseshoes, and his favorite, golf. In his later years, he enjoyed watching his Royals and Chiefs.

He loved people and never met a stranger. Once you met him, you felt like you’d known him your whole life. He was so loved and will be sorely missed.

Revelation 21:4

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the former things has passed away”

We would like to say a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Olathe Hospice House for all the care and love shown to our Dad. We feel so blessed to have such caring people to guide and support us through the end of life.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
