Alice Jean Herreboudt, 92, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Monday, July 20, 2015. A visitation will beheld from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 29th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 7:00p.m. at the chapel.
Alice was born December 12, 1922 as the youngest of 8 children to James Warren and Lucy Matilda (Whitney) Isbell. After graduating, she worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. On April 15, 1956 she married her beloved Robert C. Herreboudt and together they had two children. Alice helped out on the family farm where they raised beef cattle and she tended her vegetable garden. They were long time members of Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church in Raytown. She also worked as a school nurse for the Blue Springs School District. She is remembered as a devoted wife and mother who was mild mannered and extremely supportive and loving of her family.
Alice is survived by daughter, Linda L. Tracy and husband Rick of Wheatland, MO; her grandson, Colton Tracy, whom she loved deeply; and Kimberly Mahan, a family friend who cared for Alice these last few years. She was preceded in death by her siblings; her husband; and beloved son, Randall C. Herreboudt who died in 1990.
