Leah Grace Highberger, 80, of Independence, MO passed away on July 2nd 2013 at Carmel Hills Nursing Center. A visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 8th at Carson Speaks Chapel; 1501 W Lexington Ave. Rosary will be held 7:30 p.m. during visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church; 611 N Liberty St., Independence. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
Leah was a long standing member of St. Mary’s. She will be remembered always for her unwavering determination, sense of humor, and loving kindness. In lieu of flowers, her surviving family and friends encourage contributions in her memory to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
