Lawrence Hightower

Lawrence Hightower, 79, of Shawnee, KS, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away July 30, 2009 from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Lawrence was born April 2, 1930 in Pontiac, MI to Lawrence F. and Mary (Garner) Hightower. He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Norma Jean Hightower. He is survived by his wife, Fern Russell; three sons, Robert, Jeff and Stuart Hightower; two stepchildren, Debbie Cadwell and Jim Davidson; two sisters, Mary Ann Wood and Ina Jo Sears; 11 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
