Beatrice Hill, 94, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at St. Mary’s Manor in Blue Springs. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with a visitation at the church one hour prior to services; entombment at Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.
Beatrice was born December 25, 1913 in Plattsmouth, NE to Peter and Magdalena (Aschenbrenner) Rouchka. She married Leroy Bruce Hill and five children were born to this union. Beatrice was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for nearly 70 years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and most of all, mushroom hunting. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband Leroy and son Robert Eugene Hill. She is survived by four children: Donald Joseph Hill, Terry Richard Hill and wife Barbara, George “Chic” Hill and wife Georgia, and Patricia Ann Herrman; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
