Nellie Mae Farrington Hines, 86, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013.
Mae was born May 29, 1926 in Maxwell, NM the daughter of George and Nellie (Ogle) Lancaster. She graduated from High School in Springfield, MO and later worked at Olde Oak Tree Apartments in Independence, MO as assistant manager. Mae enjoyed quilting, canning and playing board games with the grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Andrea Dyer and husband Jim; son, Bryon Hines and wife Natalie; grandchildren, Mark Dyer and wife Charissa, Alecia, Ashley, and Blaine Hines and wife Nhung; great grandchildren Aiden Dyer, and Hyacin Hines; and one brother.
A visitation to celebrate Nellie’s life will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at Noland Road Baptist Church; 4505 S. Noland Rd, Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Grace Hospice.
