Bertha Irene Hitchcock

Bertha I. Hitchcock, 91, Independence, Mo. died Nov. 19, 2004 at Independence Regional Health Center. Graveside services will be 1 pm, Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Noland Road Baptist Church. Bertha was born May 3, 1913, in Independence and lived most of her life here. She was a sales clerk for the Jones Store for 18 years and retired in 1975. She was a member of the Noland Road Baptist Church. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clark Hitchcock in 2003. She is survived by sons Jim Hitchcock and his wife Glenda, and David Hitchcock, all of Independence; grandchildren David & Tricia Hitchcock, Jim & Julie Hitchcock, Amy & David Jacoby, and Adam Hitchcock; and great-grandchildren Zachary, Jennifer, Gracie and Grant
