Tracey A. “Trace” Hixon, 39, of Liberty, MO was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 12, 2012. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trace’s prolife cause, The Women’s Clinic, PO Box 3280, Independence, MO 64055. Trace was born November 27, 1972 in Fayetteville, AR to Rex and Roxanne (Rushing) Hixon. He enjoyed working on various political campaigns and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Trace is survived by his wife of 15 years, Erin (Groat) Hixon; daughters Hayley and Mikayla; parents Rex and Roxanne Hixon; brother Tony Hixon and wife Michelle; in-laws Martin and Melinda Groat; sister-in-law Mary McIntosh and husband Michael; special cousin Elizabeth LaFontaine; and by a host of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Irvin Lyle Hixon.
