Gloria Hock

Gloria Hock, 82, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, April 28, 2008 at Rosewood Health Care Center. A visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM, Thursday, May 1 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday at the Chapel with burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to the Groves Community Hospice.
Gloria was born October 27, 1925 in West Virginia to Clarence and Corda (Williams) Germon. In 1988 she retired from Mid Continent Public Library in Data Processing. Gloria enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and gardening. After retirement, she and her husband William traveled extensively and were Snow Birds and spent winters in Winter Ranch, TX. She was a faithful member of the East Independent Community of Christ.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, William Hock in 2007, and is survived by her son, David Hock and wife Michelle; grandson, Matthew Hock and wife Nicole; and great-grandson Logan; granddaughter, Nicole Hock and fiancée Scott Chaffin.
