Nancy Hoelscher

Nancy Tungett Hoelscher, 77, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Friday, March 21, at Rehabilitation Center of Independence. The Funeral Service will be, Friday, March 28, 2014, at 10:00 am at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior, beginning at 9:00 am. Nancy was born June 10, 1936, and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1954. She was a past President of American Legion Tirey J. Ford Women’s Auxiliary Unit 21, and a past President of the 5th District. She served as Secretary/Treasurer for years of the Annual Truman Pilgrimage for the American Legion. She is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Libby and Jim Bradley, Mary and Chris Hemphill, and Karen Merritt. Also surviving are her 5 grandchildren, of whom she was very proud, C.J. and Noelle Bradley, Morgan and Justin Hemphill, and Trevor Merritt. She will be greatly missed.
