Jacqulin Kay Hoem

Jacqulin Kay “Jackie” Hoem, 82, of Independence, MO, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in Belton, MO. She was born on July 30, 1940, in Cooper, IA, to John William and Garland (Salisbury) Zimmerle.
After Jackie graduated from Jamaica High School in Iowa in 1958, she went on to serve her country in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1965. She was employed for 28 years as an accounting technician for Defense Finance Accounting Systems.

Jackie enjoyed sewing, crafts and teaching her grandchildren about crafts and cooking. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be dearly missed.

Jackie is survived by her son Jon Hoem, daughter Joy Pittman; grandchildren, Kylie Hoem, Jessika Hoem, Blaze Hoem, and Kelsi Hoem; great-grandchildren; Aayan Tembo, Blaze Hoem Jr, Alexa Younger, Aaybrie Tembo, Aayvianna Parker, and brothers Kenneth (Jackie) Zimmerle and Larry (Sharon) Zimmerle. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Garland Zimmerle; sister Joann Kendell, and brother Donald Zimmerle.
