Robert E. Holler, 87, of Independence, MO, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007 at his son’s home in Lee’s Summit. Memorial visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007 in Newton Burial Park, in Nevada, MO. Bob was born December 25, 1919 to Robert and Luttie (Bridges) Holler in Nevada, MO. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Corps during WWII, followed by a successful 30 year career with the Standard Oil Co. Mr. Holler was Methodist by faith and very active in Boy Scout troop #469 with his sons, both of whom are Eagle Scouts. Bob lived for his wife and family, never meeting a stranger. He was an avid fisherman and was an honorary member of the KC Anglers Club. Mr. Holler is survived by his wife of 66 years, Laura (Tow) Holler; sons Robert S. “Steve” Holler and wife Jeannie, Greg Holler and wife Kathy; grandchildren Jennifer Carpenter and husband Chad, Sean Holler and wife Amy, Carol Ann Campbell and husband Jeremy; great-grandchildren Thomas and KayLee Carpenter, Kory Campbell; sister Ardell Whitehead. Bob was preceded in death by his sister Clarabell.
