Dora Holliday

Dora Holliday, 87, of Independence, MO passed away September 18, 2008 at The Groves. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, at the East 39th Street Community of Christ Congregation. The service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church, with the burial to take place at Mound Grove Cemetery. Dora was born August 8, 1921 in West Frankfort, IL to Edgar W. and Georgia Helen (Crawford) McKinney. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Holliday; sister-in-law, Frances Holliday; brothers, Lloyd, Charles and Edwin; sister, Mary Ruth Pinkerton. Dora is survived by her son, Darryl Ross Holliday and wife, Charlotte Tacy Holliday; granddaughter, Tacy Lynne Holliday; sister, Virginia Mackey; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Holliday. The family would like to thank Linda Coltharp, Denzil J. West, and the Minton’s for the love and care they gave Dora, as well as the E. 39th Street Congregation where she served as a Deacon. Contributions may be made to the Community of Christ Temple.
