Houston Holloman, 70, of Independence, MO passed away May 5, 2008, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, with a service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Houston had a passion for fishing and gardening his vegetables. He especially loved his grandchildren and his mother who he loved spending much of his time with. Houston was preceded in death by his father, Earl Stone; and one sister, Sandra Graybill. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rosita Holloman; one son, David Barbosa and wife Connie; one daughter, Lisa Pecina and husband Max; mother, Ruby Stone; brother, Glen Holloman and wife Linda; sister, Sheila Boyd and husband Keith; grandchildren, Max, Mario and Manuel Pecina, David, Tiffany, Daniel and Gloria Barbosa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
