Deborah Lynn Holman, 54, Warsaw, MO, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away March 1, 2012 after a four-year battle with cancer. Services will be at 2 pm, Thursday, March 8 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Swan Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wednesday at the chapel.
Debbie was born Aug. 13, 1957 in Kansas City, MO to Wilma and Lawrence Ray Crain. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1975 and later earned a BS degree from Park University. Debbie married her high school sweetheart, Jack David Holman, on June 6, 1976. In 1974 she began working at FNB of Kansas City which became Boatman’s Bank eventually becoming Bank of America. She became the Vice President of Commercial Loan Operations over her thirty year career there. Following her retirement from the bank, she worked as a consultant for Shaw Systems from 2001 to 2009. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church. She and Jack are the owners of Uncle Gabby’s Cabins in Warsaw, MO. She was a Den Mother to her three sons and a soccer mom. She had traveled the world, loved to read and spend time outdoors in the sun. She was most proud of her family.
Debbie is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Jack Holman, of the home; sons Josh Holman and wife Sheri; Jason Holman; Jacob Holman; the love of her life, granddaughter Paige; sisters Brenda Gorham; Cathy Morris and husband Bill; Alesha Brown and husband Rob; mother and step-father Wilma and Errol Haynes; father Ray Crain; mother-in-law Lavon Holman; four aunts; three uncles; and many cousins, family, friends and loved ones.
