Paul Hooker, Jr., 81, of Springfield, MO passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial in Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Paul was born November 1, 1929 in Success, AR to Paul and Eunice (Pointer) Hooker. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hooker owned and operated Paul’s Motors in St. Louis and Springfield, MO. Paul was a pilot and loved to fly airplanes and raced stockcars in his spare time. Mr. Hooker is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rubie (Lindley) Hooker; children Michael Hooker and wife Lisa, Patricia Striebel and husband Robert, Dianna Guetzko and husband Scott; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Jim Hooker.
