Carlene A. Hoover, 76 of Blue Springs, formerly of Buckner, passed away Thu. Jan 17, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be at Noon on Tue, Jan. 22, 2008 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel, 300 Adams, Buckner, MO. Burial in Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 �" 8:30 pm, Monday at the chapel. Mrs. Hoover was born on Nov 29, 1931 to Edward and LaVerna (Humphrey) Magathan in Emporia, KS. She had been a Teller with the First State Bank from 1950 until 1974. Mrs. Hoover was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed ceramics, and the outdoors including taking care of her beautiful flowers. She graduated from the Argentine, KS high school. She had previously been an Honor Queen with Job’s Daughters and also did Modeling in Kansas City. She was past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Carlene was preceded in death by her husband George Hoover and a great grandson, Jordan Flint. She is survived by two daughters, Connie Flint of Blue Springs and Cheryl Hoover of Peculiar, MO. A son-in-law, Carl King of Blue Springs; a grandson, Shawn Flint of Independence and a great grandson, Xander Flint of Independence.
