Bob Hopkins

Bob L. Hopkins, of Independence, MO, our beloved husband, dad, papa and friend, passed away with loving family by his side on August 21, 2013 at the Kansas City Hospice House after a lengthy illness with cancer. He enjoyed being a barber for 25 years, car sales for 20 years, and after retirement he enjoyed life buying and selling classic cars. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol; two children, Kim Osborne and husband Robert, Randy Hopkins; two grandchildren, Jamie and Seth; aunt, Elanda McCoy; cousins and friends. A visitation will take place from 6-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Suburban Chapel with his inurnment to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
