Kenneth W. Horn, 79, of Independence, MO passed away March 16, 2011. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. with a 2:00 p.m. service to follow on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Kenneth was born September 6, 1931 in Fullerton, NE to Walter and Gertrude (Kane) Horn. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Kenneth was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Karen Sue; two sisters, Ilene Wickman and Helen Edwards; and two brothers, Dale and James Horn. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joanne (Doutt) Horn of the home; three daughters, Lori Mullikin (John) of Hamilton, MO, Darlena Wheeler of Carrolton, MO and Jo-Ellen Horn and Sparky of Independence, MO; three sons, Kevin Horn (Jackie), Marvin Horn (Kelly), both of Independence, MO and Marshall Horn of Cedar Rapids, IA; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Williams (Ben), Lola Martz and Ruby Pittman (Kerry); and two brothers, Don Horn (Beulah) and Alvin Horn.
