Ronald Raymond "Ron� Horn
Ron Horn died on August 8, 2006 at the Season�s Care Center in Kansas City, Mo. after a long struggle with Alzheimer�s. Services for Mr. Horn will be held on Monday, August 14th at 4:00 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Independence, Mo. A visitation will follow the services. Private interment will be held in Lee�s Summit Historical Cemetery. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be remembered as a gentle and kind man who faithfully served the Lord. Ron was born in South Bend, Indiana on December 6, 1927 the son of Raymond L. and Dagny Marie (Anderson) Horn. He was a graduate of Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana where he was raised and received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. Ron served in the United States Army. Ron married Mildred F. "Millie� Vargo in Cleveland on November 28, 1958. He and his wife raised their children, Doug and Barb in Cleveland, Ohio where he worked for the Square D Company as an Engineer. Ron is survived by his wife Millie, his son Douglas R. Horn and wife Sara and daughter Barbara L. Horsey and husband Mark, and four grandchildren, Grace M. Horn, Mary B. Horn, Douglas J. Horn and George C. Horsey all of Lee�s Summit, Mo. and by a sister Kathryn Good and her husband Richard of Lakeville, Indiana. Ron�s family would like to thank all the nurses, aides, and M.E.D. students with Season�s Care Center and Crossroads Hospice. The family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers to Messiah Lutheran School (Scholarship Fund) 613 S. Main St., Independence, Mo. 64050. Online condolences to www.speakschapel.com.
