Lyle W. Horne, 86, Independence, MO passed away Aug. 23, 2007. Graveside services will be 10 am, Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Monday at Carson-Speaks Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Lyle was born Oct. 10, 1920 in Parker’s Prairie, MN. He has lived in Independence, since the early 1920’s. He was a Superintendent for Bohnert Construction Co. and retired form there in 1983. Lyle was a Lifetime Member of the Carpenters’ Union and a member of the Community of Christ Stone Church.
Lyle was preceded in death by his wife Irma Ruth “Pat” Horne in 2004 and nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by son Phillip L. Horne, Tecumseh, MO; daughter Bonnie L. Sendejas, Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
