Thomas Horner

Thomas William Horner, 45 of Grain Valley, MO passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Blue Springs Medical Center. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday March 12, 2011 at the Liberty Community of Christ 1220 Liberty Dr., Liberty, MO 64068. Tom was born August 13, 1965 in Independence, MO to Rolly D. and Donna (Clow) Horner and has been a lifelong area resident and had graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1983. He had worked as a truck driver for a number of years before becoming disabled. He enjoyed gardening, hiking, hunting building twig birdhouses, large campfires and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church. He is survived by his parents Donna Craig and her husband Gary of Warsaw, MO and Rolly “Bill” Horner and his wife Norma of Kearney, MO; a daughter, Kristina Horner of O’Fallon, IL; a brother, Donald “Butch” Horner of Excelsior Springs, MO; 2 sisters Heather Horner of Lee’s Summit, MO and Janine Ingram of Springfield, MO; his companion, Betsy Keeton of the home; a grandmother, Mildred Clow of Dover, MO; 4 step brothers, Frank Cummins, Shawn Craig, Kevin Craig and Keith Craig and 4 step sisters, Tammy Grossroad, Sara Moore, Cindy Cole and Amy Tongi.
