Joyce Houlihan

Joyce Houlihan, 66, of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at her home. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 23 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church with burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 PM at Speaks Suburban Chapel, where the rosary will be said at 6:30 PM.
Joyce enjoyed dancing, traveling, going to the lake, shopping, watching western movies, nature shows and especially football. Most importantly, Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a smile that could light up any room and enjoyed each day and made that day a day of sunshine in everyone’s lives. Joyce is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Houlihan; daughter, Christy Elliott and husband Jack; son, Dr. Gregory Houlihan and wife Helen; three grandchildren, Jacob Elliott, Molly Houlihan and Kate Houlihan; her mother, Virginia Moritz; her much loved dog, Bandit; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
