Doris Marie House (Dale)

Doris Marie House, 80, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at St. Luke’s East surrounded by her family. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit, 2 N. Douglas, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 9:30 a.m. Burial in Floral Hills East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Lee’s Summit Gardening Fund. Doris was born September 2, 1933 in Oakside, MO to Paris Milton “Shorty” and Nellie Irene (Cooley) Dale. She was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. House enjoyed cooking and gardening. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Don House; daughter Duonna VanBuskirk (David); son Devin House; grandchildren Dustin, Danae and Dylan; sister Stella Mae Woolsey (Herman); brother Bob Dale (Susan); brother John Dale (Beverly); brother Donald Dale; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
