Georgia M. Howard, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12 at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 13 at the chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence, MO. Georgia was born November 22, 1925 in East Moline, IL as one of eight children raised by Phillip and Zella (Crowell) Johnson. She graduated from Port Byron High School before relocating to Kansas City, MO with her first husband where she raised her three children. On March 30, 1968 she married her beloved Clyde Howard. Together they enjoyed their neighborhood bar and friends, their daily Mountain Dew, and their backyard flowers. Georgia especially enjoyed cooking for her family, crochet, and puzzles. Her family remembers her as a jokester, full of good humor, and her love. Georgia will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by husband of 47 years, Clyde of the home; daughter, Nancy Mackey (John) of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren Sheila Driskell (Doug), Marcy Dunkin, and Jason Morgan; great grandchildren, Heather, Kaylin, Chelsi, Falisha, Morgan, and Trevor; step great grandchildren, Brandi, Douggie, and Krystal; great great grandchildren, Halena, Serenity, Brooklynn, and Eli; sisters, Barbara E.Daebelliehn, Ida Louise Olson, and Trudy DeWilfond. She was preceded in death by her sons, Bruce and Michael Morgan; and brothers, Phillip, Charles, Joe, and Donald Johnson.
