Alvin Howell

Alvin “Junior” Howell, 84, Independence, MO died March 10, 2008. Services will be 10 am, Sat., March 15, 2008 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Alvin was born Dec. 26, 1923. He owned Howell’s Watch & Clock Repair in Independence for many years. During WW II, he worked at the Fairfax Bomber Plant building B-25’s.
Alvin was preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Sarno; a brother and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Chloy V. Howell, of the home; daughters Carol Anderson and husband Gene, Bates City, MO; Connie Crane; son Alvin R. Howell; brother Charles Howell and wife Oneida, all of Independence, MO; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
