Kenneth O. Howk, 72 of Buckner, MO passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel. Burial will follow in Buckner Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Kenneth was born December 25, 1940 in Salem, MO to Ermil and Edith (Tune) Howk. He had worked for 38 years at Ford Motor Company retiring as a welding inspector. He was also an avid carpenter and woodworker who also enjoyed cooking and quilting. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the UAW Local #249. He is survived by; his loving wife of 46 years, Karen of the home; a daughter, Edie Howk of Wichita, KS; 3 sons, Philip Howk and wife Stephanie of Blue Springs, MO, Kenny Howk and wife Lynn of Rolla, MO and Felix Howk and wife Karen of Independence, MO; a sister, Mary Lois Harris of Salem, MO; a brother, Robert Howk of Iberia, MO; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
