Pollyanna Hubble, 84, of Independence, MO, passed away, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Stone Church Women’s Department or to the Laurel Club. Pollyanna was born February 5, 1926 in Atchison, KS to William Frederick and Pollie Amy (Thatcher) Bolinger. She grew up in Independence graduating from William Chrisman High School in 1943 and from Graceland College in 1945. She had worked for the Community of Christ Auditorium for over 25 years before she retired. She enjoyed traveling, art and scrap booking. She had volunteered for The Groves and the Temple Library. She was a member of the Community of Christ Stone Church and the Laurel Club at the church. She was married to Walter O. Hubble in 1945; he preceded her in death in 1992. Survivors include; a daughter, Jan Cummins and her husband Doug of Independence, MO; 7 grandchildren, Pollyanna Michelle Brown, Shannon Kristine Butcher, Michael Tate Lundy, Amy Lorraine Gallentine, Wesley Scott Morris, Jason Andrew Atchley and Jennifer Louise Fetterly; 15 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pollyanna LaVerne Lundy in 1992, a son, William Frederick Hubble in 2009, a sister, Esther LaVerne Kramer in 1962 and a great grandson, Brian Scott Morris in 1999.
