Walter R. Huddleston, Jr. of Independence, MO, aged 82 years and 3 days went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 09, 2005, at his home surrounded by family. A graveside service will be 10 am Friday, August 12th at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Walt was born August 6, 1923 in Aullville, MO to Walter and Leona (Sammons) Huddleston. Walt was a US Army veteran of WW II, and a veteran of the Air Force. He worked at Excide Battery for 20 years, and Uniguard for several years. Walt was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret O�Dell, Catherine Velasquez and is survived by his wife of 53 years Joyce Huddleston; sons Richard Huddleston and wife Alexis of Oak Grove, MO, Christopher Huddleston of Independence, MO; daughter, Susan Alexander and husband Tom of Sugar Creek, MO; grandchildren, Trevor, Adrian, Krystle, Christopher Huddleston, Ashley, Tommy, Melinda Alexander; great granddaughter, Emily Huddleston.
