Jean Marie Hudgens, 88, passed away on October 25, 2015, in Warsaw, MO. Family will greet friends at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. in Independence on Thursday, October 29, 2015, from 1-2:00pm, with a funeral to follow at 2:00pm. She will be laid to rest in Green Lawn Cemetery.
Jean was born on July 20, 1927, in Kansas City, MO, to John W. and Lillie B. (Fortune) Garner. She attended high school in the Kansas City area, and later met and married John C. Hudgens through a mutual friend. To this union were born four daughters. Jean was a homemaker, and she also enjoyed Bingo, CB radios, and participating in the VFW Post #1000 and the Moose Lodge Ladies’ Auxiliary, where she was President for many years. She later worked for Independence Regional Hospital as a dietitian supervisor for over 15 years. She is dearly loved and will be missed.
Survivors include her four daughters: Linda (David) Looker, Colette (Ricky) Bunch, Colleen (Barry) Green, and Judy (Jerry) Latta; grandchildren: Diana Looker, Michael Looker, Angel Barton, Barry Green, Jr., Tina Turner, Danny Bunch, Brian Bunch, Lauren Brandmueller, and Andrea Latta; and great-grandchildren: Tyler Ward, Joseph Looker, Aaron Looker, Lauren Looker, Rilee Barton, Rider Green, Charlotte Green, Abram Green, Katniss Bunch, and Jaylyn Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and brother, Arthur Lee Garner.
