Blanche Ladene Huey

Blanche Ladene Huey 96 of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., until service time Thursday morning at the chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Blanche was born January 30, 1911 in Deep Water, MO to Ernest L. and Lena (Galbraith) Huey. She grew up in Deep Water and graduated from Deep Water High School in 1928 and has lived in Independence since 1943. She had worked in the clerical department for Hallmark Cards from 1943 until she retired in 1972. She was a member of the Crescent Creek Community Church. She is survived by her sister, Rose Mary Huey of the home and several cousins.
