Elma Lanet Huff (Brower)

Elma Huff, 91, of Independence, MO passed away August 30, 2018. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Burial will be held at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Elma was born July 11, 1927 in Marion County, MO to Lyonal and Katie (Claggett) Brower. She was a long time member of First Christian Church of Independence, MO, and was an active member of the Rebekah’s. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean Huff; son, William Huff; and three siblings. Elma is survived by her daughter, Denise Shockey and husband Steve; four grandchildren, Chris Huff, Kevin Huff, Kelly Wemhoff and Tim Shockey; and eight great grandchildren.
