Daniel Todd Huffner

Daniel T. Huffner, 40, Independence, MO passed away Sept. 2, 2015. Memorial services will be 10 am, Tuesday, Sept. 8 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation followed by private committal service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 am before the service at the chapel. Daniel was born Oct. 16, 1974 at Ft. Hood, TX. He worked at KCI Auto Auction since 2008 but had been in the auction business since 1996. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a drummer who loved music and sports. He played basketball, baseball and softball. Daniel was preceded in death by his father Gerald Huffner. He is survived by his wife Chelsey Huffner; daughters Brittany Gueltzau, Karly Huffner, Courtney Huffner; son Peighton Huffner; step-son Chase Grimes; mother Elizabeth Ann McKie and husband Richard; brother Brian Huffner; step-brothers Aaron McKie, John McKie; half-sisters Mary Beth Huffner, Patricia Hicks and many other family members and friends.
