Shawn M. Hunter, 35, Independence, MO passed away from complications from cystic fibrosis Jan. 18, 2010 at K.U. Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 7 pm, Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 at Eastside Christian Church, 2629 Blue Ridge Blvd., K.C., MO 64129. Cremation.
Shawn was born Nov. 28, 1974 in Independence, MO. He graduated from Van Horn High School before earning a B.S. in Business from Ottawa University. He worked at Sprint as a Network Engineer until 2001 when his health kept him from working.
Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Michael Hunter. He is survived by his best friend - his wife Melissa Hunter, of the home; mother Mary Wolf, Polk City, FL; sister Angela Hogue; niece Ashley and nephews Mike and Zach and in-laws Ron and Freda Hon.
