Almira Huntsucker

Almira Sarah Huntsucker, 90, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Carmel Hills Living Center. A visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM, Thursday, May 22 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday at the Chapel with burial at Mound Grove Cemetery.
Almira was born November 12, 1917 in Independence to William and Esther (Harris) Hendershot. She was actively involved with the Enoch Hills RLDS Church where she was a member of the choir, taught the Orioles, and played in Belles Candles, before becoming a member of the South Chrysler Restoration Branch. Almira was also involved with the Noland Tower Needlers who crocheted afghans for Cancer Action. Almira was preceded by her husband, Elwood Huntsucker, two sisters, and five brothers. She is survived by her son, William Huntsucker; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either Cancer Action or South Chrysler Restoration Branch Memorial Fund in her nam
