Lillian Huntsucker

Lillian L. Huntsucker, 97, of Lawson, MO, formerly of Independence, MO passed away March 26, 2009 at her home. Lillian was born January 13, 1912 in Odessa, MO. She graduated from William Chrisman High School. Lillian was a charter member of the Susquehanna Baptist Church. She retired from Lake City Armory after twenty-five years. After retirement she and her husband Edwin enjoyed buying and selling antiques. Lillian was preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years, Edwin J. Huntsucker; one daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Joe McCullough; parents, Harvey and Eva Stanfield; three sisters, Blanche Gentzel, Grace Suhr and Mary Elizabeth McLamb; and one brother, Elbert Stanfield. Lillian is survived by three grandchildren, Karen and husband Joe DuBois, Katrina McCullough, Kevin and wife Holly McCullough; seven great grandchildren, Melissa and husband Craig Dieker, Nicole and husband Jon Stutzman, Tyler McCullough, Josh and wife Jessica Due, Andy Due, Robin Due, Mikayla McCullough; and two great-great grandchildren, Harrison Dieker and Hudson Stutzman. She will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 30, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the chapel, with burial at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to Comfort Care Hospice, Cameron, MO.
