Dorothy Ellen Hurst (Middleton)

Dorothy E. Hurst, 96, completed her earthly journey May 3, 2015 and slipped into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was united in heaven with all who had gone before her: parents, Warren and Lillie Middleton, husband Robert, and 7 siblings. She leaves behind 2 children; Robert (Maxine) Hurst, and Carol (Victor) Jodts; 4 grandchildren Cheryl Horne, Kimberly Allen, Victor Jodts, and Kathy Neidel; 9 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was born in Kanorado, KS July 10, 1918. They later moved to Independence, MO where she met and married the love of her life, Robert, and raised her children. She lived her life as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Woodlawn Cemetery.
