Roger K. Ingram, 62, passed away on July 17, 2015.
Family will greet friends from 12-2pm Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. in Independence. A funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday at the chapel.
Roger was born on February 23, 1953, in Pittsfield, IL. He and his family moved to Independence in 1966, where he later graduated from Fort Osage High School in the class of 1971. He married Susan Chesnut in 1973, and they were blessed with one daughter, Kendra. He worked for Kenworth for 15 years, and then for TWA/American Airlines until retiring in 2008.
His family and friends remember him as a wonderful man who always had a smile and a joke to share. He was a kind soul, and he never knew a stranger.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Susan; daughter, Kendra; mother, Waunetta; brothers Ronald (Joyce) of Williamsburg, VA, Kenneth of Indep., MO, and Richard (June) of Lees Summit, MO; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, in 1979; brother, William, in 2002; and sister, Vickie, in 2013.
