Thelma Israel

Thelma M. Deshazer Israel, 87, Independence, MO passed away Oct. 11, 2011. A memorial service will be at 10 am, Monday, Oct. 17 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055, followed by a committal service at 12:30 pm at West Union Cemetery near Raymore, MO. Visitation will be 4-6 pm, Sunday at the chapel.
Thelma was born Nov. 23, 1923 in Greenfield, MO. Her life revolved around her family. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Thelma was preceded in death by husbands Loren Deshazer and William Israel; son Roy Deshazer; sisters Ruth Gibby, Loretta Haws, Georgie Pritchard, Esther Smith and brother Oscar Vaughn. She is survived by daughters Carolyn Easter and husband Bill, Buckner, MO; Doris Fellers and husband Don, Las Vegas, NV; Jo Ann Lauer, Blue Springs, MO; sons Loren Deshazer and wife Sheron, Kissimmee, FL; Gary Deshazer and wife Shirley, Odessa, MO; Gregory Deshazer, Ft. Lupton, CO; sisters Frances Izonia, CA; Pauline Collins, Fresno, CA; brothers Fred Vaughn; Paul Vaughn, both of Eldorado Springs, MO; Lloyd Vaughn Sacramento, CA; Don Vaughn; Ellis Vaughn, both of Novato, CA; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
