Arlene "Dolly" Ivy (Cooper)

Arlene “Dolly” Ivy, 77, Independence, MO passed away July 13, 2015. Graveside services will be 10 am, Friday, July 17 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. The family requests contributions to NorthCare Hospice House, 2800 Clay Edwards Dr., North Kansas City, MO 64116. Dolly was born July 25, 1938 in Kansas City and was a lifelong area resident. She was a master shopper and a pioneer of “Extreme Couponing”. She and her husband loved to travel and had taken trips all across the USA. She also enjoyed visiting casinos and bingo but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a Catholic. Dolly is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years Bert Ivy, of the home; daughter Debbie Klopfenstine and husband Gary, Sugar Creek, MO; son Michael Ivy, Independence, MO; daughter Lisa Keltner, Kearney, MO; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
