Opal E. Jackson, 93, of Independence, MO passed away May 6, 2011 at Wilshire at Lakewood. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Services at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Suburban Chapel. A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Machpelah Cemetery in Lexington, MO. Contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice or Pebble Creek Assembly of God Building Fund. Opal was born October 14, 1917 in Lexington, MO to Albert and Addie Amer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Jackson; daughter, Pauline Giddings; two sons, Jim and Bill Jackson; and infant daughter, Georgia Mae Jackson. Opal is survived by two daughters, Ruth McCulley of Independence, MO, Betty Singer and husband Larry of Independence, MO; son, George Jackson and wife Cheryl of Springfield, MO; brother, Virgil Amer of Odessa, MO; sister, Helen Jackson of Independence, MO; 16 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
