Born on October 5, 1935, to James and Jessie (Finch) Ennis in Bethany, MO, Jacqueline's life was a testament to unwavering dedication and deep-rooted compassion. Her journey through life was marked by a steadfast commitment to family, community, and an abiding faith that provided her strength.
A proud graduate of Bethany High School, she carried the values of hard work and determination instilled in her during her formative years. In her professional life, Jacqueline worked as a housekeeper at Days Inn in North Kansas City, a role she fulfilled with grace and diligence until her retirement in 2001.
Jacqueline was not only a devoted worker but also an ardent fan of the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs, proudly supporting her teams with an enthusiasm that endeared her to those around her. She nurtured a profound love for reading, often delving into literature that spoke of her beloved cats, reflecting her passion for animal activism. Her heart, open and generous, was a home for both human and animal friends alike.
A devout member of the First Baptist Church of North Kansas City, Jacqueline's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. Her participation in church activities, particularly Operation Christmas Child, and her compassionate spirit fostered a sense of community that will remain ever-present among those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jacqueline is survived by her dear friends, LaVeta White and Roseatta Emrich, whose lives she enriched with her warmth and kindness. Preceding her in death are her beloved parents, James David Ennis and Jessie (Finch) Ennis, who undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping the remarkable woman she became.
A visitation for Jacqueline will take place at the First Baptist Church of North Kansas City, MO, on April 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. She will be interred at Miriam Cemetery in Bethany, MO, commencing at 2:00 PM.
