The Reverend Joseph J. Jakubowski

Reverend Joseph J. Jakubowski, Catholic Priest of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, died February 16, 2005 at the Jeanne Jugan Center (Little Sisters if the Poor). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Jeanne Jugan Center with private burial in Chicago, IL. Father was born August 2, 1912 in Chicago to Walter and Anna (Skorupa) Jakubowski. He was ordained a priest May 23, 1940 in Kansas City. Before retiring in June, 1969, he served many parishes including St. Elizabeth, Holy Cross, Guardian Angels and St. Augustine in Kansas City and Immaculate Conception in Lexington. Father Jakubowski is survived by a great-niece and great-nephew and their families in Chicago.
