Janice Ann Sartwell

Janice Ann Sartwell passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2025. Janice was born on January 17, 1928, in Davison Township, Michigan, to the late Frank and Julia (Hart) Carpenter.

She married Wilbur Sartwell in 1959, and he preceded her in death in 2013.

Janice was a registered nurse and proudly worked several decades for the City of Independence.

She was a member of the East 39th Community of Christ Church in Independence. In retirement, she loved doing yardwork and spending time with family.

Janice is survived by son Joel (Marva), daughter Julie Burman, grandchildren Brock Alleman, Jacque Sartwell, Laura Cooper, and Rachel Burman, and great-grandchildren Avery and Aliyah.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and all siblings.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
