Virginia Alice Jasso, 89, Sugar Creek, MO passed away, Dec. 31, 2011 surrounded by her family that she loved. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Thursday, Jan. 5 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 10118 E. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64054; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. The Rosary will be said at 5:30 pm, Wed. at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052, followed by a visitation from 6 – 8 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Sugar Creek Civic Relief Fund, 103 S. Sterling Ave., Sugar Creek, MO 64054 or St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Virginia was born Oct. 6, 1922 in Kansas City, MO and moved to Sugar Creek, MO when she was a year old. We will miss her beautiful smile, that little twinkle in her eyes and her loving touch. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents William and Hannah (Mudd) Boosinger; infant son Joseph Jasso, daughter Theresa Holland, granddaughter Jennifer Holmes Frank and sister Thelma Boosinger; She is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years Anthony S. Jasso – her high school sweetheart; sister Wilma Alderson; daughters Toni Anne Holmes and husband Michael; Sue Mills; son Michael Jasso and wife Linda; son-in-law Earl Holland; grandchildren Brett Holland and wife Kara; Jason Frank and wife Jennifer; Adam Holmes and wife Shana; Zachary Hagan and wife Melissa; Melissa Oxley and husband Brian; Eric Jasso; Ryan Holland and wife Kristi; Andrew Jasso; great-grandchildren Blake, Ella, Evan, Kate, Brooks, Brady and Hannah.
The family would like to thank the Rosewood Health Center Staff for the exceptional care and love they gave Virginia for almost seven years, while preserving her dignity as she succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease.
