Jeanette Kay Timmerman, 72, passed away peacefully in her home on July 8, 2024, in Independence, Missouri. Born on April 29, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, Jeanette was known for her resilience.
She graduated from Raytown South High School and retired from GE. Jeanette was best remembered as the owner-operator of a well-known drinking establishment, where her skill as a barkeeper and charming patrons left an indelible mark on all who met her.
Jeanette enjoyed Marvel movies, gardening, and cooking. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dale “Hoarse” Hudgens and Ione Lucille (Peterson) Hudgens Dunn, her husband Edward "Ed" Timmerman, her first husband Shawn Braden, and her sister Martha McGonigle.
Jeanette is survived by her son Ethan and his wife Christine Braden of Independence, MO, her grandchildren Thasiah Harper, Devon Harper, Chesnie Umpherys, Jordan Umphreys, Lindsey Braden, and Skyler Harper, her sister Wanda Hodges and husband Dennis of Lone Jack, MO, her brother John Hudgens and wife Shirley of Excelsior Springs, MO, and her great-granddaughter Ava-Leigh Harper.
A graveside inurnment service will be held on July 27th at 11:00 a.m. at the Post Oak Cemetery, near 22955 Majorville Rd., Warsaw MO (cemetery located on the right, before the address). Family and friends are invited.
