Jeanette Louise Weber Barker passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025. Jeanette was born on November 12, 1939, in Lafayette, Indiana to Edgar and Helen (Seiber) Slocum.
She graduated from East High School in the class of 1958. For 25 years she was a teller and facilitator for KCP&L before retiring in 1998.
She lived her life to the fullest as a devoted mother to her three sons, friends and family. She was the best at speaking her mind and caring for others. Jeanette loved cooking, playing games and hosting friends and family at her home.
Jeanette is survived by her sons, Douglas (Deanna), Phillip (Traci) and Bryan (Denise); 11 grandchildren and many cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Slocum and Helen Akers.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st from 1-2pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Mo. with the service to follow at 2pm.
