It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jeffery “Jeff” Eugene Stevenson, from Independence, Missouri who left us on Friday June 27th, 2025 at the age of 64 after his battle with ALS.
Jeff was born on September 2nd, 1960 to Ethel Louise Brown Stevenson and Joseph Everett Stevenson Sr. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He is survived by his father, Joe Sr. and wife Susanna; his siblings, Joe Jr., Andy, Jodi, Elke, and Karin; his wife of 37 years, Sharon; his daughters, Elizabeth, Bridgette, and Stephanie; and son, Toby who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Louise Stevenson and baby brother, Robert Harold. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life, and we find comfort in the thought that they are reunited once more.
Jeff was a hard-working and dedicated man. He spent over 45 years working as a printing press operator, where he was known for his devotion and being a master of his trade. He went on to own and operate his own printing company known as American Pride Printing. Jeff was a man of many skills and traits, and even from a very young age, he was able to use his skill of observational learning to jump in on a project to fix anything that was put in front of him. Outside of work, he always made time for his family and passions, especially enjoying rebuilding and restoring antique cars. He shared his love for rebuilding cars with his children and friends, leaving a mark on us that will never fade.
To those who knew him, Jeff was more than just a husband and father—he was a steady presence, a source of wisdom, and a constant supporter. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, from the knowledge he shared to the simple moments he cherished most.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A visitation with the family will be held on July 18, 2025 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, Missouri on Lexington. Friends and loved ones are invited to come and share their condolences and memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ALS Foundation in memory of Jeff. Contributions can be sent to the ALS Foundation in search of a cure at www.als.org. We would also like to send a special thanks to Ascend Hospice for their kindness. Jeff loved them dearly and found comfort in their presence and care.
